Have you ever been to a polka party? This was my first, maybe with the exception of every party I went to with my family growing up in Eston, Saskatchewan. When I was asked to produce this special for PBS in Canada, I thought that a casino would be a great place so we filmed it at Caesar’s Palace in Windsor, Ontario, which must surely have been a Polka Palace before it turned into a casino. Apparently Caesar, Himself, loved to polka, just like the current FLOTUS.
