"Under The Lote-Tree" is the follow-up recording to their first double CD, "Open The Gates". This beautiful recording continues the saga of those heroes and heroines who, in 19th Century Persia, embraced the universal teachings of The Bab and Baha'u'llah. The title, "Under The Lote-Tree" is taken from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, where the Lote-Tree refers to the Messengers of God. The implication is that this is the Tree beyond which there is no passing, as the Messengers of God represent the Unknowable Essence in creation and is a symbolic tree that is planted at the end of a road. These beautiful songs are dedicated to the long-suffering Baha'is of Iran, who still suffer unspeakable cruelties and persecution for their belief in the Baha'i Teachings.
