Cal Dodd is one of the finest jazz vocalists in the world. He has extraordinary interpretive ability comparable to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. The warmth in his sound and the ease that he sings these very intricate jazz standards is amply demonstrated in this recording, his debut CD.
The musicians from Toronto included Doug Riley, one of the finest jazz pianists and organists in the world and the recording was done by George Seara. My favourites are "Walking After Midnight", "Summer Wind" and "On the Street Where You Live".
